Our Programs / POSTCARD / We, the People: High School Edition (POSTCARD Pilot)

This project is supported in part by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Los Angeles County Arts Commission.

In June 2010, teen filmmakers from George Washington Carver Center for Arts & Technology in Maryland and Good Exposure in Los Angeles came together to share documentary shorts about issues in their communities. Films were screened at the Art Theatre in Long Beach and the diversity in the work made a great impact on the teachers as well as the students. Issues covered in the films ranged from No Child Left Behind to immigration.
